40308 Rge Rd 22-1. Go east of Alix on Hwy 12 for 1 km, turn north (road then turns east) on Hwy 601 for 8 km, then north on Rge Rd 22-1. Watch for signs into campground area on west side of road.
Narrow shallow channel surrounded by aspen forest and thick cattail beds.
Campground trails follow the shoreline.
Cinnamon Teal, Pied-billed Grebe, Western Grebe, terns, Great Horned Owl. During migration: shorebirds, warblers.
Open year-round, road conditions permitting (access/internal roads not plowed); limited facilities and services provided September 16 to May 14.

More birds will be seen in the spring and summer seasons, but all locations will have some winter birds. Typical and common species can be expected for each habitat described. Large deep lakes typically attract migrating waterfowl, (ducks, swans, and geese). Notable Species are species of special interest that have been recently recorded in or near the area.
