From Hwy 12, just south of Erskine on Hwy 835. Lake is on both sides of road. Park on Twp Rd 38-5A.

12 km south of Erskine Lake. Access to east side by following Twp Rd 37-0 east, north on Rge Rd 20-5, west on Twp Rd 37-2.
Turn south in Stettler on 70th Ave. Go to T-intersection, turn west on Twp Rd 39-0 and go west past Rge Rd 20-1.
Shallow saline lakes surrounded by native grassland, deciduous woods and farmland.
Roadside viewing only. Park with caution.
Large concentration of waterfowl, American Avocet, Black-necked Stilt, shorebirds, Western Meadowlark. During migration: Greater White-fronted Goose, Snow Goose. In witer: Snowy Owl.
No amenities at the lakes but the village of Erskine is nearby.
Ewing and Erskine are both Important Bird Areas (AB034), noted for waterfowl concentrations. IBA information: ibacanada.com

More birds will be seen in the spring and summer seasons, but all locations will have some winter birds. Typical and common species can be expected for each habitat described. Large deep lakes typically attract migrating waterfowl, (ducks, swans, and geese). Notable Species are species of special interest that have been recently recorded in or near the area.
